Her eyes began to droop and she knew that she was tired. Her body ached from the labor of the day, and her mind seemed to protest. The fading light was at her back, taking the heat off of the fields. The wind rush past her cooling the sweat on her skin, making it a sticky film of dirt. She sighed putting her hands on her head, letting the wind air out her clothes. She breathed in the scents of freshly turned dirt, rain, and wild flowers.

She could stay forever in the summer night, but there was a chill to the wind that said summer was soon to be over. She looked over the fields, nothing but miles of growing wild flowers and grass. The plants danced in the moonlight and it seemed as if waves where flowing and crashing all over the place. She could feel it tickle her side whenever she got too close. There were soft glowing lights coming from the grass, the fire flys had come out to greet the summer sky. There where soft chirps from the crickets that had risen to sing their songs. She hummed to their tune, swaying her hips softly.

The road before her was roughly made, just carved out of dirt to make room for cars. This part of the country didn't have many cars, so they didn't bother paving the roads. The hills seemed to go for miles, with a tree looming up ahead over the road. She stared at it, and smiled she had a couple miles to walk until she got home. She didn't mind walking in this weather though. Her cotton skirt bellowed around her, caressing softly the milk white skin she had.

The sky was a deep dark blue, with touchs of light blue and orange as the sun slowly crept away. The stars twinkled brightly bringing a soft light to the summer night sky, the moon was full looming over head. The light from the moon so bright that she could see where she was going without squinting her eyes. All this beautiful scenary had caused her senses to dull alittle. Unaware that someone or something was following her.

He called out to her, "Beautiful isn't it?" She tensed, covering her mouth to keep from crying out. This brought a smile to his lips. She turned around the skirt dancing, her bright red curly hair shaking. She stared at him with her piercing green eyes, shocked that she hadn't noticed he was there. "Oh, dear me did I scare you?" He asked it like he really didn't care, managing to sound bored as well as polite. His eyes where the color of charcole, his hair the color of snow flakes. The white strands tied into a pony tail, the hair so long that it went to his knees.

He was broad of shoulder, about 6 ft tall well built, and the clothes he wore clung to him where they needed to cling, and hung loosely when needed to hang. His skin was a copper color, almost like a penny but alittle paler. His lips where full, kissable and a seductive pink. He had a square jaw, long hazel nut eyelashes. The look of him just said that he was expensive.

He was handsome, almost too handsome to look at. He kept his perfect smile, and traveled closer. She realized in that moment she had been staring. Davina was beautiful for a commoner, 5ft 5" tall, a toned body from the work she did. Her body was curvy, hips wide for bearing children. Her lips where alittle thin, a light pink but still beautiful. She had shades of light hazelnut kissing her skin from the freckles she had.

Finally grasping that she needed to speak, she let the air out she had been holding. "Yes sir it is beautiful." She wasn't sure what he wanted from her, but it made her heart beat in her throat. "I wasn't talking about the scenary Davina." She was shocked that he knew her name, had they met before? "How...Do you?" He stopped her by placing a finger upon her lips. "Don't ask questions that you don't want the answers to." She blinked curious now, she moved her lips against his finger. "How do you know my name?" He was amused that she would go ahead and ask. He flashed her a smile, careful to keep those fangs hidden for now. "How do I know your name? How do I know where you live? How do I know that you're merely 20 and still unmarried?" He raised his eyebrows like even all the information he'd given was a surprise to himself. She moved away from him confused, and frightened. "I...I...don't know" Her voice trembled betraying her fear.

He laughed, it was dark growling almost. She was frightened more now that he had caught her attention. "Davina, doesn't that mean Beloved?" She nodded her head at him, the curls tossling at the movement. "Hmmm...." He smiled now flashing his fangs, showing her the worst of her nightmares coming true. "Come here my beloved." His eyes looked at her drawing her fears away. She was unable to resist the spell he cast. "Come here..." He spoke again, and her body came willingly. "Ah....that wasn't so bad was it?" He looked down into her lovely eyes. Drawing his arms around her, he felt the warmness of her skin. He bent down and kissed her lips. She kissed him back, closing her eyes as if asked too. He brushed his cool fingers through her hair.

Kissing his way down to her ear, he said against her ear lobe "Awaken" She began to move of her free will then. Her eyes wide open, she pushed on his body struggling to be free. This is what he loved about hunting, the struggle. He found her neck easily, piercing the skin. The blood running to the section. She screamed, then moaned slowly growing limp. Yet he only took enough to put her to sleep. He then picked her up in his arms. He had better plans for Davina, plans that she would have to commit to.
